The HOME project has reached its climax and we are now proceeding to onboard housing providers and market intermediaries who want to benefit from the momentous evolution to the student housing market that we’re leading.
The work of the EU-funded project HOME allows students to look for quality accommodation directly from the Erasmus+ App targeting the 300.000 students going on Erasmus each year and all looking for accommodation. The market potential is enormous.
The Erasmus+ App is the one-stop-shop of the EU to access the Erasmus+ programme and is set to become the main portal of student mobility with step-by-step guides, online application procedures to go on mobility, all the information needed to go on a mobility, and all the services that are needed. The latter is where HOME will shine being one of the first services to be integrated in the Erasmus+ App.
To ensure quality accommodation HOME is now onboarding housing providers and market intermediaries to have the unique market opportunity of showcasing their quality offers with transparency and in line with HOME’s quality labels and digital data standard.
HOME uses a “feed” mechanism to pull in all accommodation data from the connected housing providers and intermediaries, which makes sure that the housing inventory in the Erasmus+ App will be automatically synchronized without the need of manual interference.
HOME created a Digital Data Standard which provides the exact specifications on how housing providers should set up this “feed”. The Digital Data Standard also includes information on how you make sure your listings get awarded with a certain set of quality labels. More information and the link to the Digital Data Standard can be found in the HOME Competence Centre.
You can only apply to list your properties if you are a professional housing provider or market intermediary and have your “feed” already set up according to the specifications and ready for use.
